Last night was the first session of the Soul Cartography class. I am so gratified by the wonderful turnout and the chance to work with old friends and new on this precious material.
It has been nearly two years since I’ve done anything in public, and much longer than that since I’ve taught anything but chant – if anything I am most reminded of my high-school-teaching days back in San Francisco. In sum: I felt a little rusty, but with the good graces of my wonderful students we had a rich, lively, funny, and heartful session exploring the shapes and patterns of our life journeys. We talked about memory palaces, the differences between “fire” and “earth” experiences in life, and how even an apparently meaningless scribble on a page reveals so much about one’s personality. Looking forward to next week.
